The Surface Hydrology Research group studies the integrated
watershed response to rainfall through numerical simulations, remote
sensing observations and field data collection. Our interests lie in
the overlap between different fields: hydrology and meteorology,
surface and ground water, ecology and
hydrology. Our mission is to create a nationally-recognized research
program
in surface water hydrology at New Mexico Tech with core competencies in
advanced
hydrologic modeling, semiarid hydrological processes and observational
networks.
