Jesus Gomez-Velez receives USGS Powell Center Grant PDF Print E-mail

Jesus Gomez, assistant professor of Hydrology in our department, will receive the USGS Powell Center Grant to do research on continental scale synthesis of river hydrogeomorphology and water quality. This is a multi-institute project of which Jesus is one of the lead PIs. Jesus and his colleagues will develop the first model ever to study physical and biogeochemical processing in hyporheic zones, riparian areas, and floodplains and their accumulated effects for water quality at the scale of the nation.
