The Orange County Water District is seeking a hydrogeologist to join its team of groundwater professionals. Under direction, prepares a variety of reports (well construction summaries, tables, maps, graphs, as-built and cross-sectional drawings), analyzes complex data (identify data anomalies, interpret data, create representative graphs, contour data, evaluate aquifer test data), performs field inspections (conduct geologic borehole logging and injection/monitoring well design, oversee construction projects, conduct well performance and aquifer testing, collect water samples, oversee well maintenance, troubleshooting), prepares a variety of plans and specifications related to hydrogeological activities.

One to two years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in Geology. Master’s degree with emphasis on hydrogeology preferred. Knowledge of geologic and hydrogeologic processes and principles; groundwater chemistry and aquifer properties.

Salary Range: $35.32 - $44.15 per hour
