This camera's resolution is high enough to produce printed pictures enlarged to 8.5 x 11 without noticeable pixellation. It is not waterproof or dustproof, so it is not good for very rugged field conditions. Some features:

Problem Q&A
Q. When I turn the camera on or try to reformat the memory card, I get a CARD ERROR message.
A. The Smart Media memory card may be dirty and/or the contacts inside the camera that read the card may be dirty. Try cleaning them both as follows:

• Use the CHEAP 8MB card as the cleaning tool!
• Swab the gold contacts on the cheap card with an alcohol-moistened cotton swab (Qtip).
• Insert and eject the card into the camera 5 or 6 times while it is still wet with alcohol.
• Swab the card again and repeat the previous step.
• Swab the card again and let it dry.
• Reinsert card into camera and turn it on.
• Swab the 32MB card and let it air dry before using it again.
