Duties

(75%) Support GRC faculty and staff with research-related projects including

• create, scan, and edit graphics
• edit and format documents to meet editorial guidelines
• assist in design and layout of posters
• assist in organizing meetings
• create and update webpages
• assist in purchasing computers and peripherals
• assist in troubleshooting PC-related problems
• redesign and manage INZA website

• maintain and improve the department web pages
• produce department and program posters
• assist with outreach activities such as brochure preparation, newsletters, and special events
• provide instruction on use of the color plotter

Current Major Projects

• Manage EES Website Redesign Project
  • New plan is to use Joomla! and the new NMT website template.
  • Status: Still learning Joomla!
• Manage EES Thesis/Dissertation/Independent Study Scanning Project
  • Christina Forbes is the current team member.
  • Status: 30% complete
• Manage EES Photo Database Project
  • On hold until new website up because Joomla! should have a module for this.
• Set up Plotter Service Center (based on existing cost center) to conform to new rules
  • Work with Pat Valentine who will ultimately administer this account.
• Assistant for CUAHSI Scintillometry Workshop October 12-15, 2009
  • Workshop chair: Jan Hendrickx
  • Estimate expenses
  • Manage facilities, transportation, meals
  • Create and maintain workshop website
  • Ensure everything runs smoothly!
• Serve on EES Copier Replacement Committee
  • Members are Leigh Davidson, John Weber, and Pat Valentine
  • Made decision to go with Xerox on June 12, 2009
  • New copier expected in on June 30, 2009
