Business Cards

ISD prints New Mexico Tech business cards for $68 for 500 cards with 500 being the minimum order. This comes out to about 14 cents a card. Click here for details.
An alternative is to print your own business cards on a color printer and cut them yourself for about 4 cents a card. The color printer in MSEC 345 will print on cardstock up to 65 lb cover weight. If you have access to the printing option on the Lanier copier in MSEC 208, it will print cardstock up to 80 lb cover weight. Both printers cost about 25 cents a sheet to print, and you can get cardstock from Susan Delap (MSEC 258) for 10 cents a sheet.
You'll need Adobe Illustrator to use the template. The template has 10 business cards on it. Use Find and Replace to quickly replace all the necessary fields. When printing from Adobe Illustrator, you'll need to configure your printer driver to print on cardstock (specify Thick2 on the Lanier copier) and select manual feed (Bypass Tray on the Lanier copier). You want to keep the sheet flat as it exits the printer, so you may have to open an output tray in the back of the printer so your printed sheet doesn't curve back to the top output tray.
The diagram below shows where to cut the cards. The final size of the business card is 3.5" x 2". There is a paper cutter in MSEC 202.
