This page has information on options and costs for lodging during the Zeolite '06 conference.

On Campus

The deadline to reserve on-campus housing has passed. Please scroll below to "Off-Campus" for other options.

If you have already reserved on-campus lodging, your room will be in a two-bedroom suite in either South Hall or Baca Hall, both a short walk from the conference location at Macey Center. Each bedroom has two beds, a private entrance, a private sink and vanity, and shares a bathroom with an adjoining bedroom.

Individual bedrooms are classified as either a double room (both beds are occupied) or a single room (only one bed is occupied).

The following rates are per person, per night:

Double room $17 (2 people occupy room)
Single room $20 (only 1 person occupies room)

Linens, towels, and soap are included in the rooms. There are free laundromat facilities in both South Hall and Baca Hall. Registered guests have access to the NMT Swim Center and facilities at the NMT Gymnasium. On-campus guests have access to the NMT Golf Course, but golf course fees are not included in the housing rates.

The driver who picks you up at the Albuquerque airport will know your room assignment and will take you to the proper building where someone will meet you and give you your room key.

Off Campus

Most Socorro motels are 1-2 miles (1.5-3 km) distant from the New Mexico Tech campus. Participants staying in motels are responsible for their own transportation to and from the campus. Please note that local taxi service is limited and expensive.

The following three motels have arranged special rates for Zeolite '06 attendees from 15-22 July 2006. When making your reservations, please mention that you are attending the Zeolite '06 conference, and mention the room rate that is published on this webpage.

To make a ZEOLITE reservation at Holiday Inn Express in Socorro,
individuals must:

• mention *Zeolite* to receive $65 (plus tax = total $72.72) room rate
• include credit card information
• if a USA participant (only), include telephone number
• both international and USA participants will receive a confirmation
  number by return email

When making reservations online, select the "AAA" rate and bring a copy of your Zeolite '06 registration confirmation to show when checking in at the motel.

To receive this rate, you must call the motel directly at 1-505-835-1500 and tell them you are a Zeolite '06 participant and are requesting the New Mexico Tech rate. If you prefer to register online, use the AAA rate. It is about $5 more than the above rate. Bring a copy of your Zeolite '06 registration confirmation to show when checking in at the motel.

To receive the ZEOLITE rate, do the following:

• click on entry #2 "La Quinta Inn Albuquerque Airport"
  select room size you prefer
• Reservation step #2 "Select Dates" (again)
  Under "Special Rate Options" - mark "government rate"
  Under "Promotional / Corporate Rate Code," type ZEOLITE
• complete the registration process as La Quinta website prompts you.

Transportation

Free transportation from the Albuquerque airport to Socorro will be provided for registered participants on the 15th and 16th of July, and from Socorro to the Albuquerque airport on the 21st and 22nd of July. The schedule is here.
