Transportation in Antarctica and on Mount Erebus

The only way to Antarctica from New Zealand is on a military transport plane (C-130, C-141 or C-5). The only way to get up to Mt. Erebus (either the Fang acclimitization camp or the lower Erebus hut) is by helicopter (Bell 212 or A-Star). All travel around the summit of Mt. Erebus is either by foot or snowmobile. Here are a few photos of people getting around.
