Virtual Earthquake - a very neat interactive simulation
in which students locate the epicenter of an earthquake. Also Virtual Dating
- radioactive dating of materials.
Animations, images, text, all work to make this a site
with lots of useful information for students. Plate Tectonics, Seismic
Waves, Richter Magnitude, others all very good.
Project at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory - still under
construction at last visit but looks like this site has a lot of potential
for use by teachers. Keep an eye on it.

Contains material from a series of TV programs, "Savage Earth", produced
by WNET New York. Excellent graphics, animations, etc. Requires some plug-ins
to view. Very nice. Take a look at this.
Contains a nice image showing the areas affected by major
earthquakes in the Eastern and Western regions of the U.S. Show this to
your students. Very enlightening!
This is a software company that has acquired LOGAL Software,
a company that produces math and science simulation programs for middle
school, high school, and college.. There are free activities available
after registration. Check out the Earthquake Lab in the EarthPulse Center.
