The plan for these pages is to give the public an understanding
of the geochemical characteristics of an active volcano, specifically
Mt. Erebus.
Because much of the research at Mt. Erebus is focussed
on geochemistry of the lavas and of the gases being emitted, there is
a wealth of information available for this site. However, because of
this large volume of data, it will take some time to incorporate it
into the MEVO site. We hope to accomplish this sooner, rather than later.
In the meantime, each incomplete page will give you an idea of the research
conducted and data collected at Mt. Erebus:
