August 18, 2004 -- Penny Boston is quoted in the Albuquerque Tribune regarding her opinon on Martians and if they have ever visited here before. See the last two paragraphs.


Vivoni Wins SURP Competition

August 2004 -- Congratulations to Enrique Vivoni for being one of three 3 NMT professors selected in the Sandia University Research Program (SURP) FY2005 competition. His winning proposal, GIS-Based System Dynamics Modeling of Watershed Processes for Water Resources Management in the Rio Grande, New Mexico, will receive $40,000 in funding. Vivoni's Sandia collaborator is Vince Tidwell, an EES faculty adjunct. Carlos Aragon, MS Student in Hydrology, will also be working on this project.
