NASA - NMT Eddy Correlation systems in Albuquerque, NM
For data access please contact Kristi Arsenault at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD.
Two eddy correlation towers were set up in Albuquerque, NM with nearly identical instrumentation in March 2005 (field work report). Data is available since November 2005 after several modifications in datalogger program and sensor configuration by Jan Kleissl, New Mexico Tech.

The table shows daily energy balance for selected days at CF
| Daily Energy Balance | no SHF readings so far --> under construction |
Daily averages of the energy balance at CF
The first column is YYYY/MM/DD. Subsequent columns display the number
of samples per day and the average value of different variables:
2-3: Rnet from CM21/CG4, 4-5: Rnet from NRLite, 6-7: H from FWTC, 8-9: H from
CSAT using virtual temperature, 10-11: LE, 12-13 SHF, 14: Rnet from NRLite - Hs
- LE
14: number of samples with 203 < wdir < 283 (from SW alfalfa field)
15: number of sample with 110 < wdir < 331 (from different alfalfa fields, but
no flow distortion from other sensors)
Plot of daily averages of R vs. H+LE
The table shows monthly plots of meteorological variables at CF together with wind, T, p data from ABQ airport:
The table shows daily energy balance at NC. The footprints of net radiation and turbulent heat fluxes are very different (e.g. Rio Grande river for H, LE vs. grass for Rnet, G), so energy balance closure is not expected.
